Ministry of Climate Crisis and Fire Service open booths at Thessaloniki Fair

The Ministry of Climate Crisis and Civil Protection and the Hellenic Fire Service inaugurated their exhibition booths at the 90th Thessaloniki International Fair on September 5. Deputy Minister Kostas Katsafados represented Minister Evangelos Tournas at the event, noting that Tournas remained in Athens due to high fire risk conditions in several parts of the country requiring constant monitoring.

The inauguration was attended by various officials, including the Deputy Ministers of Maritime Affairs and Islands and Labor and Social Security, as well as leaders from the Hellenic Coast Guard, the Fire Service, and the Red Cross. Katsafados stated that the Ministry’s presence at the fair highlights its mission in civil protection, ranging from prevention and operational readiness to the effective management and recovery from natural disasters.
