Ministry of Corporate Affairs extends CCFS 2026 deadline

The Ministry of Corporate Affairs (MCA) has extended the validity of the Companies Compliance Facilitation Scheme, 2026 (CCFS-2026) to September 15, 2026. This follows a previous extension that moved the deadline from July 15 to August 31, 2026.

The extension, issued via General Circular No. 04/2026, was prompted by representations from various stakeholders. The circular maintains all original terms, conditions, and eligibility criteria of the scheme, providing only an additional window for companies to complete pending statutory filings.

Prior to this announcement, the Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI) had formally requested a longer extension until September 30, 2026. ICSI cited several practical challenges, including technical difficulties with the MCA-21 V3 portal, heavy compliance workloads, and the need for companies to resolve pending financial, tax, and procedural matters.
