Ministry of Economic Affairs holds recruitment exams for state-owned enterprises

The Ministry of Economic Affairs held its 115th year recruitment examination for affiliated enterprises on October 18. The examination took place across 11 testing sites in four regions: Taipei, Taichung, Kaohsiung, and Hualien.

A total of 14,628 candidates applied for the positions, with 7,634 appearing for the first session, representing a 52.2% attendance rate. With 589 positions expected to be filled, the average acceptance rate is approximately 7.72%.

To ensure exam integrity and prevent electronic cheating, the National Communications Commission deployed personnel to monitor abnormal radio waves, supported by mobile directional wave monitoring vehicles. The Agency Against Corruption also conducted inspections at the testing sites.

Successful candidates will be notified of their eligibility for second-round interviews, with the list scheduled for announcement on December 23 via the official examination website and the websites of state-owned enterprises, including Taiwan Sugar, Taiwan Power, CPC Corporation, and Taiwan Water. Final recruits will undergo internships before official appointment, with starting salaries currently around NT$46,000.
