Ministry of Education issues final deadline for school textbook subsidies

The Ministry of Education has issued a final call to parents and legal guardians to apply for subsidies for school textbooks and materials before the extended deadline expires. The application period, which was originally scheduled to close on August 9, was extended following requests from parents who were unable to apply on time.

As of the latest reports, over 181,500 applications have been submitted via the eKosova platform. Of these, 95,388 have been approved, 96,098 are being processed, and 710 have been rejected. Anita Kadriu, Director of the Pre-University Education Department, noted that applications are verified by school coordinators to prevent misuse and ensure students are properly registered in the educational system.

A total of 14 million euros has been allocated from the budget for this support scheme. Authorities aim to distribute the funds once data verification is complete to ensure students are prepared with necessary books before the start of the school year on September 1.
