Ministry of Education launches economic and financial literacy program for teachers

The Ministry of Education has opened registration for the Economic and Financial Education Reading Club. This initiative is part of the Provincial Law No. 11.023, which established the Economic and Financial Literacy Program.

The program is a distance learning course designed for teachers and school administrators across all educational levels and modalities. It aims to provide disciplinary and didactic updates regarding new curricula, focusing on topics such as resources, transactions, financial planning, risk, benefit, and the economic environment. The curriculum will also incorporate perspectives on gender, class, and territory.

Education Minister Horacio Ferreyra stated that providing teachers with these tools is essential for helping students make informed and responsible daily decisions. Gabriela Peretti, Secretary of Innovation, Professional Development, and Educational Technologies, noted that the proposal seeks to foster a collective construction of pedagogical knowledge.
