Ministry of Energy football team defeats Parliament in SHIMIWI tournament

The Ministry of Energy football team secured a 2–0 victory against the Parliament team during the ongoing SHIMIWI tournaments in the Kilimanjaro region on September 24. Assistant Coach Fadhili Msigwa stated that the win has boosted player morale and that the team aims to win the 2027 SHIMIWI championship.

This victory follows a 3–2 loss to the Irrigation Institute in their previous match on September 23. Msigwa noted that the previous result allowed the team to evaluate weaknesses and prepare more effectively for subsequent games, citing discipline and effort as key factors for their future success.

In other sporting events, the Ministry of Energy women's netball team achieved a 28–20 win against RAS Mara and recorded a 25–25 draw against the Prosecution team. The Ministry is also participating in various other disciplines, including cycling, draughts, darts, athletics, cards, and bao.
