Ministry of Finance confirms December 4 date for public sector aguinaldo

The Ministry of Finance has confirmed that the 2026 Christmas bonus (aguinaldo) for public sector employees is scheduled to be deposited on December 4. The National Treasury stated that the funds are secured and the payment remains on schedule.

For employees in the private sector, the payment window is different. Private employers have until December 20 to issue the payment. To calculate the amount, employees should sum all ordinary and extraordinary salaries received from December of the previous year through November of the current year, then divide that total by 12.
