Aparecida de Goiânia healthcare infrastructure and community services update

A representative from the Brazilian Ministry of Health, Nilton Pereira Júnior, inspected the construction of two new healthcare facilities in Aparecida de Goiânia. The projects, conducted through a partnership between the municipal government and the federal government via the Novo PAC Saúde program, aim to modernize local services and replace rented buildings with permanent structures.

The first facility, the Independência Basic Health Unit (UBS), is approximately 87% complete and will feature medical and dental offices, a pharmacy, and two Family Health Strategy teams. The second project, a Specialized Rehabilitation Center (CER), is currently 38% complete and is expected to be delivered by September 2027. The CER will cover 2,300 square meters and is intended to reduce waiting times for specialized care.

In a separate local initiative, the city administration held a community service event in the Garavelo region. The 'Mutirão de Aparecida' provided approximately 4,500 direct services to residents, including vaccinations, legal guidance, document issuance, and job placement assistance, marking the 48th anniversary of the Garavelo sector.
