Ministry of Home Affairs accelerates village boundary demarcation in Southeast Sulawesi

The Indonesian Ministry of Home Affairs is accelerating the demarcation of village boundaries across 272 villages in three regencies in Southeast Sulawesi: Buton Tengah, Muna, and Muna Barat.

This initiative is being implemented through the Integrated Land Administration and Spatial Planning Program (ILASPP), a collaborative effort involving the World Bank, the Ministry of ATR/BPN, the Ministry of Home Affairs, and the Geospatial Information Agency (BIG). The project aims to identify and mitigate potential issues regarding village boundaries through social and environmental data collection.

According to La Ode Ahmad Bolombo, Director General of Village Government Development, the distribution includes 81 villages in Muna Barat, 124 in Muna, and 67 in Buton Tengah. This effort represents the second phase of the ILASPP, following initial stages conducted in North Sulawesi and Central Sulawesi.
