Claudia Testa resigns as Argentina's Undersecretary of Labor Relations

Claudia Testa has resigned from her position as the Undersecretary of Labor Relations within Argentina's Ministry of Human Capital. Her departure, described as an “indisputable resignation,” occurs amidst an administrative restructuring of the ministry led by Minister Sandra Pettovello.

Testa, who had served in the role since late 2024, was a key figure in labor negotiations, collective bargaining, and mediating union conflicts. She was considered a significant interlocutor for both business leaders and labor unions. Some reports suggest her departure follows a period of friction with the Secretary of Labor, Julio Cordero.

Mariano Sartoris, a lawyer and close confidant of Minister Pettovello, will succeed Testa. Sartoris previously served as the Legal Undersecretary for the Ministry of Human Capital and has held various administrative roles within the labor sector. He is expected to assume his new duties this coming Monday.
