The new appointments distinguish between two specific sub-categories: six editors and seven non-editor working journalists. The nominated editors include Pradeep Kumar Jain, Sayed Raza Husain Rizvi, Ankur Dua, Aparna Shukla, Raj Parwana/Narender Singh, and Vinod Bajpai. The non-editor category includes Vinod Kohli, Geetartha Pathak, Prajnananda Chaudhuri, Kingshuk Pramanik, C. K. Nayak, Prasanna Kumar Mohanty, and Bijoy Kakchingtabam.
These nominees provide regional representation across various media hubs, including New Delhi, Kolkata, Chandigarh, Guwahati, Bhubaneswar, Imphal, Raipur, Kanpur, Gonda, and Muzaffarnagar. This amendment to the Press Council Act, 1978, follows previous notifications issued in December 2024 and December 2025.
