The Ministry of Internal Affairs is investigating allegations of corruption regarding the illegal issuance of category C and D driving licenses. The Ministry's Department for Internal Control, Criminal Investigation, and Professional Standards has notified the Public Prosecutor's Office, and authorities are working in coordination to clarify the case.

The allegations were raised by the opposition party LSDM, which claims a scheme exists where individuals pay 1,400 euro bribes to obtain licenses for trucks and buses without undergoing required training or passing exams. According to the LSDM, the scheme involves declaring a license as lost and then illegally registering additional categories in the system. The opposition alleges that over 300 illegal licenses may have been issued, posing a risk to road safety, and is calling for the identification and annulment of these licenses, as well as political accountability from Minister of Internal Affairs Pançe Toshkovski.
