Ministry of Public Security conducts anti-riot and terrorism drill in Dak Lak

The Ministry of Public Security conducted a large-scale drill in Dak Lak province to practice responding to security disturbances, riots, and terrorism in the Central Highlands region. The exercise involved nearly 4,000 officers and soldiers, utilizing various specialized vehicles and modern equipment.

Presided over by Senior Lieutenant General Pham The Tung, Deputy Minister of Public Security, the drill focused on two primary scenarios: managing large crowds causing security and order disturbances, and executing operations to arrest terrorists and rescue hostages. The event included representatives from various central ministries, the National Committee for Counter-Terrorism, and leadership from several provinces, including Gia Lai, Lam Dong, Khanh Hoa, and Ho Chi Minh City.
