Ministry of Public Works and Spatial Planning conducts health screenings

A health screening conducted at the Ministry of Public Works and Spatial Planning (OWRO) identified elevated blood pressure and blood sugar levels in several employees. Those affected were advised to consult their general practitioners for further investigation.

The initiative was launched by Minister Stephen Tsang after observing a health team from RKZ performing screenings at a market. In response, the ministry is considering making these screenings a regular part of staff care, with potential frequencies ranging from monthly to quarterly, depending on the capacity of the health team.

In addition to health monitoring, the ministry is focusing on workplace safety. Plans include organizing fire safety training, increasing attention to emergency response services, and improving fire safety at various departmental locations.
