Ministry of Science officials discuss employment reforms and university development in Iran
Mehdi Pendar, the Deputy for Administrative, Financial, and Human Resource Management at the Ministry of Science, Research, and Technology, met with faculty, staff, and students at Vali-e-Asr University of Rafsanjan to address livelihood and administrative concerns.
Pendar announced that the reform of the employment regulations for staff, featuring a fairer coefficient, has been approved by the Court of Audit and the Minister of Science. This reform is set for the upcoming Salary and Wage Council meeting, with a projected minimum salary increase of 15 percent for staff. Additionally, salary increases for faculty members have been approved by the Board of Trustees and have not faced legal challenges from oversight bodies.
In a separate development regarding regional technology, the head of the Parliament's Knowledge-Based Committee, Azimi-Rad, noted significant growth at the East Azerbaijan Science and Technology Park. The park hosts companies specializing in artificial intelligence, software, microelectronics, and medical equipment. Efforts are reportedly underway to resolve obstacles to production and expand the export markets for these technological products.
