Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment shares tips for cognitive health
The Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment of the Government of India has shared advice on maintaining cognitive health and mental sharpness during aging. Through a post on the social media platform X, the Ministry emphasized the importance of keeping the brain active to improve memory and cognitive function.
To achieve mental stimulation, the Ministry recommends engaging in puzzles, brain games, and maintaining a sense of curiosity. Activities such as solving Sudoku or crosswords are described as a 'gym for the brain,' helping to strengthen neural connections, enhance memory, and improve thinking abilities. Strategy-based games like chess, carrom, and Ludo are also suggested to improve focus and strategic planning.
Additionally, the Ministry encourages continuous learning through reading new books, exploring new places, and engaging in social interactions to keep the mind prepared and youthful.
