Ministry of Trade praises Shopee Indonesia for cost transparency

Indonesia's Minister of Trade, Budi Santoso, has commended Shopee Indonesia for implementing cost transparency measures in compliance with Ministerial Regulation No. 19 of 2026. The platform introduced the ‘Pengelolaan Program Saya’ feature, which allows sellers to access information regarding optional promotional programs such as Free Shipping XTRA, Promo XTRA, and Affiliate Marketing Solutions.

Minister Santoso emphasized that transparency is essential for government oversight and maintaining a healthy digital trade ecosystem involving platforms, sellers, and consumers. He noted that such features help ensure local businesses have adequate space within the digital market and encouraged other platforms to replicate this level of transparency.
