Minki van der Westhuizen transitions from modeling to media and business
Minki van der Westhuizen, once a prominent South African swimsuit model, has successfully transitioned into a multifaceted career in media, business, and philanthropy.
During her modeling peak in the early 2000s, van der Westhuizen appeared on covers for major publications including Sports Illustrated, GQ, and FHM. She was included in Maxim’s Hot 100 in 2003 and was voted the “Sexiest Woman in the World” by FHM readers in 2004. Her popularity extended internationally, notably becoming a favorite among US troops stationed in Iraq.
Following her modeling career, she moved into television presenting and acting, hosting her own kykNET program titled “Minki”. She has since expanded into the lifestyle sector by launching her own jewelry brand and founding a charity focused on female empowerment.
