Minneapolis shooting suspect faced eviction prior to fatal encounter

Authorities in Minneapolis have released new details regarding a fatal shooting in the downtown area. The suspected shooter, identified as 35-year-old Carlton Neal Johnson II, died at the scene following an exchange of gunfire with law enforcement.

Records indicate that Johnson was facing eviction from his apartment building prior to the incident. Building management had reportedly issued a lease termination notice following several incidents, including assault and allegedly brandishing a firearm toward management.

The attack resulted in six casualties. Two residents, 61-year-old Muse Afrah and 63-year-old Dale Henry Spry, were killed. Additionally, three police officers were injured during the encounter, with two of them subsequently being released from the hospital.
