Minnesota authorities investigate large space object found in cornfield
Federal and state agencies are investigating a large metal object discovered in a cornfield in Scott Township, near Alberta, Minnesota. The object, approximately 11 feet in diameter and roughly the size of a vehicle, was found during harvesting on Wednesday, October 13.
The Stevens County Sheriff's Office described the item as “presumably a space object” due to visible charring on its surface. While local speculation has included mentions of UFOs, officials noted that recognizable serial numbers on the object suggest it is man-made debris that fell back to Earth.
A local farmer suggested the object may have been in the field for approximately six weeks based on the condition of the corn beneath it. Authorities have stated there is no danger to the public, and they are working to identify the owner for removal using the visible serial numbers.
