The Minnesota Chamber of Commerce, in partnership with BMO, has launched the annual ‘Coolest Thing Made in Minnesota’ contest. The competition features 64 products manufactured within the state, aiming to highlight local innovation and manufacturing prowess.
Public voting for the first round of the bracket began on August 31 and is scheduled to run until September 7. Participants can vote in head-to-head matchups once per week. The contest is open to any Minnesota-based company that has been in business for at least two years and utilizes a manufacturing process.
Among the current competitors is Stewartville-based Jimmy's Original Cole Slaw Dressing, which is facing the Wilderness Toilet by Carstens Industries Fiberglass Manufacturing in the opening round. The winner of the competition will be announced on October 6 at the 2026 Manufacturers’ Summit.
