Minnesota Election Candidates Hold Farmfest Rally and Swing‑Voter Debate

A group of swing voters gathered at the University of Minnesota Duluth to watch a debate among Minnesota’s U.S. Senate candidates, organized by the non‑partisan Swing Voter Pilot. About two dozen people attended in person, with additional viewers online, and participants were encouraged to consider issues beyond party lines.

At Farmfest in Redwood County, the state’s top gubernatorial hopefuls—Sen. Amy Klobuchar, Kendall Qualls, Lisa Demuth and Mike Lindell—addressed the farming community, discussing family‑farm support, property taxes, immigration enforcement and tariff policy. Lindell also pledged a budget proposal to eliminate the state income tax. Four Senate candidates also spoke, highlighting the importance of agriculture to Minnesota’s $20 billion industry.
