Minnesota holiday light festivals debut new winter themes
Minnesota is introducing new seasonal light displays for the upcoming winter holidays.
The GLOW Holiday Festival at St. Paul’s CHS Field is debuting an ‘Arctic Adventure’ theme. New features include an illuminated icicle tunnel, polar bears, Arctic wolves, an Arctic igloo, and an ice waterfall. The festival will also feature the ‘Wand-er Land Corral,’ a 60-by-40-foot interactive area where guests use wands to activate light displays. The event runs from November 19 through January 3.
At the Minnesota Landscape Arboretum in Chaska, the traditional holiday light display is being replaced by ‘Northern Lights.’ This new experience focuses on professional light projections and synchronized sound to highlight the state’s winter nature. The event includes 18 interactive experiences, such as glowing forests and shadow play. Northern Lights will run from November 20 through January 3.
