Minnesota Lottery Player Wins $34 Million Lotto America Jackpot
A Minnesota player won the $34.12 million Lotto America jackpot in the Saturday night drawing. The winning ticket was sold at the Holiday StationStore at 601 Coon Rapids Boulevard in Coon Rapids, Minnesota. It was the only ticket nationwide to match all six numbers drawn – 13, 17, 22, 28, 40 and the Star Ball 3. The winner may choose an annuity paid over 30 increasing payments or a lump‑sum payout of about $15.15 million. A second Minnesota player matched the first five numbers and received a $20,000 cash prize.
Lotto America draws on the same nights as Powerball (Monday, Wednesday, Saturday) and costs $1 per play, with odds of 1 in 25.9 million versus Powerball’s 1 in 292.2 million. The jackpot will reset to $2 million for the next draw, with a cash value of $880,000. For comparison, the Powerball jackpot is estimated at $544 million with a cash value of $241.6 million.
