Minnesota Lynx defeat Washington Mystics 94-84

The Minnesota Lynx defeated the Washington Mystics 94-84 on Friday night, marking their sixth consecutive victory. Rookie Olivia Miles led the Lynx with 24 points, seven assists, and three steals, while Natasha Howard contributed 21 points on 10-of-12 shooting.

With this win, the Lynx (31-7) maintain a 4.5-game lead over the second-place Golden State Valkyries in the WNBA standings. Lynx head coach Cheryl Reeve bolstered the case for Miles as a potential MVP, noting that the team’s success is heavily tied to her performance.

The Mystics (21-15) fell to seventh place, half a game behind New York. Kiki Iriafen led Washington with 19 points and 13 rebounds, while Shakira Austin added 17 points and eight rebounds. The Mystics are scheduled to begin a six-game road trip starting Sunday in Portland.
