Minnesota man charged in Roseville kidnapping and sexual assault
Pao Yang, a 41-year-old man from Isanti, has been charged with multiple felonies following the alleged kidnapping and sexual assault of a 27-year-old woman in Roseville, Minnesota.
According to criminal complaints filed in Ramsey County District Court, the incident began on September 23 when Yang, acting as a masked man, allegedly confronted the victim at her workplace with a handgun. The victim reported that Yang forced her into a wooded area, bound her to a tree with zip ties, and covered her eyes and mouth with tape. After stealing her belongings, Yang allegedly returned to transport her to a second location, where he sexually assaulted her.
Investigators noted that Yang, who worked as a cleaner at the victim's dental office, allegedly threatened the woman's life and claimed he had killed women in Morocco. He also reportedly threatened to release a recording of the assault. Yang is currently being held at the Ramsey County Law Enforcement Center with bail set at $2.5 million.
