Minnesota nurse and two sons found dead in suspected murder-suicide

Police in Inver Grove Heights, Minnesota, are investigating a suspected double murder-suicide involving a nurse and her two adult sons. The victims, identified as 43-year-old Jamie Lee Charles, 22-year-old Jaymison Samuel Shaw, and 19-year-old William Samuel Shaw Jr., were discovered dead on Sunday, August 30, during a welfare check at their residence.

Preliminary findings from the Inver Grove Heights Police Department indicate that Jaymison Shaw is the suspect in the deaths of his mother and brother. Authorities have not yet released a motive or specific details regarding the cause of death. The incident appears to have been contained within the home.

Jamie Lee Charles was a nurse at the Minneapolis VA Health Care System. A memorial service was held at South Valley Park, where community members released balloons in honor of the deceased. Family members have established a GoFundMe to assist with funeral and memorial costs.
