Minnesota prepares for seasonal parking changes and warmer November weather
Rochester, Minnesota, is preparing to implement seasonal parking restrictions starting November 1. Under the city's alternate side parking ordinance, which runs from November 1 to April 1, residents must park on the side of the street corresponding to the house numbers. Vehicles must be parked on the side with even house numbers on even-numbered calendar dates and on the side with odd house numbers on odd-numbered calendar dates between the hours of 2 am and 3 pm.
Regarding weather patterns, the NOAA Climate Prediction Center has released a 30-day outlook suggesting a warmer-than-normal November for most of Minnesota. While precipitation levels are expected to fall within the ‘equal chances’ range—meaning no clear trend toward wetter or drier conditions—temperature forecasts indicate a higher probability of above-average temperatures compared to historical data.
