Minnesota Senator John Hoffman Accuses Rep. Angie Craig of Seeking Endorsement While Hospitalized

Hoffman raised the accusation at a campaign event for Democratic Lt. Gov. Peggy Flanagan, contrasting Craig’s outreach with Flanagan’s expressed sympathy.

Craig’s campaign refuted the claim, stating that she only conveyed condolences after the shooting and did not request an endorsement until August, when Hoffman began endorsing other races. The campaign labeled Hoffman’s assertion as "categorically false" and provided text‑message evidence to support its position.
