Minnesota State Patrol responds to two injury crashes
The Minnesota State Patrol responded to two separate injury crashes in southeastern Minnesota on Friday.
In the first incident, an 80-year-old man from Lake City was injured when his small SUV rolled into a ditch on Highway 61, approximately three miles north of Lake City. The second crash occurred on Interstate 90 near the Highway 13 interchange north of Albert Lea, involving a 72-year-old motorcyclist from Indianapolis who lost control after striking an object.
Both individuals were transported to nearby hospitals with non-life-threatening injuries. Officials noted that the motorcyclist was wearing a helmet and the SUV driver was wearing a seat belt. Alcohol was not a factor in either crash.
