Minnesota statewide election polls show tightening margins

Recent polling indicates tightening margins in several Minnesota statewide races as the election approaches. Data from Co/efficient and KSTP/SurveyUSA suggest a shift in the political landscape for the state.

In the race for Attorney General, Ron Schutz has overtaken Keith Ellison, who previously held an 8-point lead. While Ellison maintains a significant advantage among voters aged 18 to 34, his lead in that demographic has decreased. Schutz currently leads among men, while Ellison leads among women.

In the gubernatorial race, Amy Klobuchar is polling at 47% against Lisa Demuth, a result described as a virtual dead heat despite Klobuchar’s historical popularity. Similarly, the Senate race is showing competitive numbers between the DFL nominee and Michele Tafoya.

Secretary of State Steve Simon’s lead over Republican nominee Tad Jude has narrowed from 7 points to 4 points. Jude currently leads among men and voters in the 50-64 age demographic, though Simon maintains an 11-point lead among women.
