The Minnesota Timberwolves explored the possibility of signing EuroLeague MVP and Olympiacos forward Sasha Vezenkov during the recent NBA offseason. According to NBA insider Marc Stein, the team sought to add depth to their front line by investigating whether Vezenkov would be interested in returning to the NBA.

Vezenkov reportedly made it clear that he did not wish to leave Olympiacos at this time, preventing the discussions from progressing to an official offer. Following the decision not to pursue Vezenkov, the Timberwolves ultimately reached an agreement with Jonathan Kuminga. While Vezenkov previously played for the Sacramento Kings, he has expressed a preference for his current environment in Greece, though he has not entirely ruled out a future return to the NBA.
