Minnesota to host Expo 2031 international horticulture fair

Dakota County, Minnesota, is set to host Expo 2031, the first A1 International Horticultural Exposition to be held in the United States. The six-month event will focus on the intersection of humanity and horticulture, featuring participation from approximately 80 countries.

A central feature of the exposition will be five living landscape biodome experiences designed to simulate various global climates, such as deserts, northern woods, and tropical environments. According to CEO Wendy Meadley, these installations are intended to allow visitors to fully experience different ecosystems through sight, smell, and touch.
