Minnesota Twins Pitcher Joe Ryan Placed on Injured List

Right‑hander Joe Ryan was moved to the 15‑day injured list on Thursday after doctors identified a mild left glute strain. The injury follows a sharp decline in his performance since the All‑Star break, where his fastball velocity fell to about 92 mph and his strikeout rate dropped dramatically. In his last 15 1/3 innings Ryan allowed 17 runs and struck out only 10 of 73 batters, prompting the Twins to backdate the IL placement.
