Minnesota Vikings announce 2026 team captains

The Minnesota Vikings have announced their team captains for the 2026 season. The offensive leadership group includes quarterback Kyler Murray, wide receiver Justin Jefferson, running back Aaron Jones Sr., and offensive tackle Brian O’Neill.

On the defensive side, the captains are linebacker Andrew Van Ginkel, safety Joshua Metellus, and linebacker Brian Cashman. Andrew DePaolo has been named the captain for special teams.

In related roster activity, the team recently hosted tryouts for several players, including quarterback Aidan Bouman, wide receivers Chandler Brayboy and A. J. Henning, and defensive back Brandon Crossley. The Vikings have also made additions to their practice squad, signing Max Brosmer, Tai Felton, Kyle Van Noy, and DeeJay Dallas.
