Minnesota Vikings promote Max Brosmer and Kyle Van Noy to active roster

The Minnesota Vikings have made several roster adjustments, including signing outside linebacker Kyle Van Noy and quarterback Max Brosmer from the practice squad to the 53-player active roster.

Max Brosmer was promoted following the trade of J. J. McCarthy to the New York Giants. Brosmer is expected to serve as the emergency third-string quarterback behind Kyler Murray and Carson Wentz.

In other personnel moves, the Vikings placed tight end Josh Oliver on injured reserve due to a biceps injury. Receiver Jeshaun Jones has returned to the 53-player roster following a three-game suspension. Additionally, the team terminated the contract of punter Johnny Hekker and signed outside linebacker Kenny Dyson, Jr. to the practice squad, while releasing Jerome Ford, Jaret Patterson, and Jonathan Harris from the practice squad.
