Justin Jefferson ruled out for Vikings Week 4 game against Dolphins
The Minnesota Vikings have officially ruled star wide receiver Justin Jefferson out for their Week 4 matchup against the Miami Dolphins. Jefferson is recovering from a left ankle sprain sustained during a Week 3 victory over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. While an MRI indicated no long-term structural damage, the team opted for caution to avoid aggravating the injury.
With Jefferson sidelined, the Vikings' receiving corps will rely heavily on Jordan Addison and Jauan Jennings. Other notable absences for Minnesota include tight end Josh Oliver (torn biceps), cornerback Charles Demmings (hamstring), and punter Brett Thorson (hamstring).
The Miami Dolphins also face injury challenges heading into the game. Running back De’Von Achane is on injured reserve with a knee injury. Additionally, the Dolphins have ruled out rookie wide receiver Caleb Douglas and edge defender Robert Beal Jr. for the contest.
