Minnesota Vikings WR Jauan Jennings declines trade to San Francisco 49ers
Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Jauan Jennings reportedly declined a trade to reunite with the San Francisco 49ers. According to reports from Jay Glazer and other NFL insiders, the Vikings and 49ers had established trade terms for the veteran receiver, but the deal was contingent on Jennings approving the move via a call with 49ers head coach Kyle Shanahan and general manager John Lynch.
Jennings, who spent his first six seasons in San Francisco, reportedly expressed a preference to remain in Minnesota. While the 49ers have faced significant injuries at the wide receiver position, Jennings has seen limited production in his first season with the Vikings, recording four receptions for 43 yards.
This failed transaction follows a successful reunion for the 49ers, who recently acquired defensive tackle DeForest Buckner from the Indianapolis Colts. The NFL trade deadline is scheduled for November 10.
