The No. 20 University of Minnesota volleyball team recently defeated Northwestern 3-0 in a Big Ten matchup, with set scores of 25-14, 25-11, and 25-9. Minnesota dominated the statistics, recording nine aces and a 40-19 advantage in kills. Mckenna Wucherer led the Golden Gophers with 10 kills, while middle blocker Elena Hoecke hit .889. Northwestern struggled with a negative hitting percentage and recorded 22 attack errors during the match.

Following this victory, Minnesota is scheduled to host No. 6 Wisconsin in a sold-out Gold Out match. The Golden Gophers currently hold a 54-41-0 series lead over the Wisconsin Badgers.
