Minnesota voters participate in high-stakes primary elections

Minnesota held primary elections on August 11, featuring high-profile races for the U.S. Senate and the governorship. The U.S. Senate race, triggered by Senator Tina Smith’s retirement, has highlighted ideological divisions within the Democratic-Farmer-Labor (DFL) Party, pitting centrist Representative Angie Craig against Lieutenant Governor Peggy Flanagan.
