Minnesota voters prioritize fraud prevention and healthcare in new poll

A KSTP/SurveyUSA poll conducted less than seven weeks before Election Day reveals the primary concerns of Minnesota voters regarding upcoming statewide and federal elections.

For the office of Governor, more than one-third of respondents identified fighting fraud as their top priority. Other significant concerns include lowering taxes and improving healthcare access, which each received 23% of the vote. Combined, these three issues represent the top priorities for 80% of those surveyed.

Regarding the U.S. Senate race, protecting Social Security is the most popular priority at 21%. This is followed by fighting fraud (18%), improving healthcare access (17%), and lowering taxes (16%).

For the position of Attorney General, nearly half of respondents stated that fighting fraud should be the primary focus. Other major priorities for the state’s next chief legal officer include consumer protection (19%) and criminal prosecution (16%).
