Minnesota Wild call up David Špaček following Brock Faber injury

David Špaček has been called up to the Minnesota Wild following a skull fracture suffered by star defenseman Brock Faber. Faber sustained the injury after being struck by a puck during a preseason game against the Dallas Stars.

Faber has undergone a successful surgery and is recovering well, according to General Manager Bill Guerin, though his return timeline remains uncertain. As a result, Špaček will join the opening roster for the season. The team's defensive depth will be tested as they navigate the absence of the Olympic defenseman.
