Minnesota Wild defeat Columbus Blue Jackets 2-1

The Minnesota Wild defeated the Columbus Blue Jackets 2-1 on Sunday night, led by Kirill Kaprizov and Jesper Wallstedt. Kaprizov scored his NHL-leading 10th goal of the season with a second-period power-play shot, setting a new franchise record for the fastest player to reach the 10-goal mark. Danila Yurov also scored for Minnesota, while Adam Fantilli provided the lone goal for Columbus.

Goaltender Jesper Wallstedt made 13 saves to secure the win, while Columbus' Cam Talbot recorded 32 saves. The victory improves the Wild's record to 6-2-1 as they maintain their lead in the Central Division.

Regarding team health, Minnesota head coach John Hynes provided updates on the roster. While Kaprizov returned to the lineup following an illness, goaltender Filip Gustavsson remains a significant distance from returning to active play following hip surgery, with a return expected no earlier than mid-November. Meanwhile, the Blue Jackets continue to manage injuries to defensemen Dante Fabbro and Ivan Provorov.
