Minnesota woman Shiloh Hendrix convicted over N-word dispute

Shiloh Hendrix, a Rochester, Minnesota resident, was found guilty of one count of misdemeanor disorderly conduct for using the N‑word during a confrontation with a man who recorded the incident at a playground. Earlier charges relating to an interaction with a child were acquitted. The state sought a hate‑crime charge but instead pursued disorderly conduct, resulting in a sentence of a suspended 90‑day jail term, a fine and community service.
