Minnesota woman's mugshot goes viral for resemblance to Jennifer Lopez

Cyrena Anne Quast, a 35-year-old woman from Minnesota, has become a viral sensation due to her striking resemblance to pop star Jennifer Lopez. The attention follows her arrest in Monticello on August 30 for allegedly stealing two double packs of power tool batteries valued at approximately $580.

Quast was booked on a gross misdemeanor theft charge after a store employee recognized her from a previous incident. While the theft itself was a local matter, her mugshot released by the Wright County Sheriff's Office drew massive attention on social media. Users widely commented on her uncanny likeness to the 57-year-old singer, with many jokingly referencing Lopez’s 2002 hit “Jenny from the Block” by calling her “Jenny from D-Block.”

Quast was released the day after her arrest. Public records indicate she has a history of prior legal encounters, including charges related to drug possession, driving under the influence, and providing false identification.
