Minor Earthquakes Strike Bolivia and Colombia

A magnitude 3.5 earthquake was recorded on 30 July 2026 at 08:46:48 local time in Carangas Province, Oruro Department, Bolivia. The event occurred at a depth of 245.2 km, classifying it as a deep subduction quake, and caused no visible effects, damage, or injuries.

On the same day, a magnitude 3.8 tremor was reported by the Servicio Geológico Colombiano with its epicenter in Baraya, Huila Department, Colombia. The quake was felt lightly near the epicenter but, like the Bolivian event, resulted in no reported damage or casualties.
