Minor Hotels expands Portuguese presence with new hotels and leadership

Minor Hotels, the parent company of Tivoli Hotels & Resorts, is expanding its presence in Portugal through new leadership and property developments. Luís Coelho has been appointed as the Cluster Director of Sales for three Tivoli units in the Algarve: Tivoli Marina Vilamoura Algarve Resort, Tivoli Carvoeiro Algarve Resort, and Tivoli Alvor Algarve Resort. His role focuses on commercial development and strengthening the MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions) segment.

Additionally, Minor Hotels plans to add two new hotels to its Portuguese portfolio, targeting the North and Centre regions. These properties, one four-star and one five-star, will be developed within existing buildings and are expected to open within the next two years. At least one of these will operate under the Anantara luxury brand. This expansion follows the recent renovation of Tivoli Coimbra and precedes the scheduled 2027 opening of the Anantara Royal Vila Viçosa Resort.
