Minor road accidents in the Netherlands cause vehicle damage, no injuries reported

On Sunday 21 June, a collision between two cars on the N227 near Leusden resulted in significant vehicle damage. Children were among the passengers, but all occupants were checked by ambulance staff and none were injured. The accident blocked the road in one direction, causing a long traffic jam, and the Royal Marechaussee issued three fines to drivers who tried to bypass the closure.

Two days later, on Tuesday 23 June, two motorcyclists fell in a curve on the Heusdenseweg in Waalwijk. Bystanders provided first aid until police and ambulance arrived. Both riders were examined and did not require hospital treatment. The police are investigating possible causes such as a slippery road surface, while the motorcycles sustained considerable damage.
