Minya Governor intensifies regulatory campaigns against unlicensed businesses
Minya Governor Emad Kedwany has ordered intensified regulatory and field campaigns across markets and commercial establishments within the governorate. The initiative aims to ensure compliance with laws governing commercial and food activities while maintaining public order.
A large-scale inspection campaign, led by the Higher Committee for Encroachments and headed by Secretary-General Mohamed Anis, was conducted in Minya City. The operation involved various executive and regulatory bodies, including the General Administration for Shop License Inspection, the Environmental Affairs Administration, and the National Food Safety Authority.
The campaign resulted in the removal of 45 road obstructions and the seizure of concrete and metal barriers blocking public pathways. Authorities issued 23 reports against businesses for failing to meet licensing requirements, 10 reports for environmental violations, and 3 reports for food safety non-compliance. Additionally, several unlicensed facilities were confiscated or sealed, including a gym that failed to meet mandatory licensing conditions.
