Minya, Qena Governors Set 2026‑27 Secondary School Admission Rules

Governor Amad Kaddwani of Egypt’s Minya governorate approved the 2026‑27 coordination for first‑year general and technical secondary schools, establishing minimum admission scores of 225 for general schools and 190 for technical and private institutions. The policy aims to balance student numbers with school capacity and expand technical specialties to meet labour‑market needs.

Governor Mustafa Al‑Bablawi of Qena governorate also approved the 2026‑27 admission coordination, setting a minimum score of 237 for general schools and varying thresholds for technical, agricultural, and commercial streams, ranging from 140 to 210 points depending on the program. Both governors emphasized equitable placement and adherence to Ministry of Education guidelines.
